Importing Contracts from Google Drive Securely
ZeneSign's Google Drive integration makes document import seamless. Here's how to set it up securely.
Why Integrate Cloud Storage?
- No downloading and re-uploading
- Direct file access from your existing storage
- Faster workflow
- Centralized file management
Setting Up Google Drive
Step 1: Connect Your Account
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Click "Connect Google Drive"
- Authorize ZeneSign (OAuth 2.0)
Step 2: Configure API Key
You'll need a Google API key for the Picker:
- Go to Google Cloud Console
- Create a new project
- Enable Google Picker API
- Generate API key
- Add it to ZeneSign settings
Step 3: Import Documents
When creating a new document:
- Click "Import from Cloud"
- Select Google Drive
- Browse your files
- Choose PDF or DOCX
- Import directly
Security Considerations
OAuth 2.0: We never see your password Limited Scope: Access only to files you select TLS Encryption: All transfers encrypted Revocable: Disconnect anytime from Google settings
What We Access
ZeneSign only requests permission to:
- View files you explicitly select
- Read selected file contents
- No write access to your Drive
- No access to other files
Common Issues
API Key Not Working? Ensure the Picker API is enabled in Google Cloud Console.
Can't See Files? Check OAuth consent screen settings and authorized domains.
Best Practices
- Use a dedicated Google account for business
- Review connected apps regularly
- Revoke access when no longer needed
- Keep API keys secure (never share)
Cloud integrations save time while maintaining enterprise security standards.
